I think that sometimes we get to caught up in the "religious attitudes" that are promoted by our churches, denominations and religious affiliations that keep us from loving on people who need to feel, hear, and experience the Father's loving kindness.
When we don't accept and love on those (believers or not-yet-believers) we cause loneliness for that person. Loneliness causes despair;when people are in despair, if they are hanging by a thread, they might just let go. Do we want to encourage or tear down? Do we want to spur them on to love and good works or be the one who helps them sink deeper into despair?
Father, I pray that the things that I say and do are pleasing in your eyes. Father, help me to allow your love to shine through this earthen vessel to touch someone who needs you. Father, let my hands and feet be tools for you to love on your people. Help us all, the Body of Christ, to truly allow your kindness, shown through us, draw people to repentance, to YOU. "Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. "(Psalm115:1)
