One central them in all the devotionals I try to read (at least once a day) is that God cause all things to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. It comes from Romans 8:28. I've always loved that verse, but do I truly believe and trust that verse in my life.
On devotional ended with a pray like this, "Lord, help to fight the temptation to scheme and fret rather than resting in Your sovereign provision. Help my impatient heart to trust Your unfailing love."
I will admit that my heart gets impatient for lots of things and I felt like this should be my prayer today too.
Father, help MY impatient (whiny, complaining, selfish- well you know that is what the impatience is) heart truly and completely trust in Your never ending, unfailing, unfaltering love. Help me to rest, rely, and lean completely on you today to meet all of my needs. In Jesus' name, Amen!
